How to Use SnapTik

Everything you need to save TikTok videos, photos, sounds and stories – on any phone, tablet or computer.

Quick start in three steps

  1. Copy the link of the TikTok post you want to keep.
  2. Open snaptik.cat, paste the link into the box and press Download.
  3. Choose the format – HD video, standard video, MP3 or images – and save the file.

That is all. There is no account to create and nothing to install.

Downloading on iPhone and iPad

  1. Open snaptik.cat in Safari.
  2. Paste the link and tap Download, then the button for the format you want.
  3. Confirm the download if Safari asks. The file goes to the Files app, in the Downloads folder.
  4. To move a video or picture into Photos, open it in Files, tap the Share icon and choose Save Video or Save Image.

Tip: tap the blue arrow in Safari's address bar to see your recent downloads at any time.

Downloading on Android

  1. Open snaptik.cat in Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox or another browser.
  2. Paste the link and tap Download, then pick the format.
  3. The file is saved to the Downloads folder. Videos and pictures also show up in the Gallery or Google Photos after a moment.

Downloading on Windows, Mac and Chromebook

  2. Open snaptik.cat in any browser, paste the link and click Download.

Which tool should I use?

Add SnapTik to your home screen

SnapTik can sit on your home screen like an app, so it is always one tap away.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open snaptik.cat and tap the Share icon.
  2. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open snaptik.cat and tap the three-dot menu.
  2. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen and confirm.

On many phones the Add to Home Screen button under the download box does the same thing.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid link" or nothing happens

Make sure you copied the whole link, starting with https://. Links from the Share menu that look like vm.tiktok.com/… work fine.

The video is private or was deleted

SnapTik can only reach public content. If the post is private, limited to friends or removed, it cannot be downloaded.

The video plays instead of downloading

Some browsers open the file in a new tab. Long-press the video (or right-click it on a computer) and choose Download video or Save video as.

A download stops halfway

Check your connection and try again. Very long videos and large slideshows need a few extra seconds to prepare.

I cannot find the file

Look in the Files app (iPhone, iPad) or the Downloads folder (Android, computers). Your browser's download list shows where each file went.
