1. Overview
This policy applies to the website snaptik.cat ("SnapTik", "we", "us"). In short: you do not need an account, we do not store the files you download, our servers keep short technical logs, and we use analytics and advertising partners that may set cookies.
2. Information you give us
- Links and usernames that you paste into a download box. We use them only to fetch the requested content and do not link them to you.
- Messages you send us by email, including your email address and anything you choose to write.
3. Information collected automatically
- Server logs: your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, the time and the referring page. We need them to keep the service secure and to stop abuse. Logs are deleted automatically after about two weeks.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used – for example which tools are popular and which devices visitors use.
- Advertising: our advertising partners may collect information such as device type and approximate location to show and measure ads.
4. Cookies and local storage
We store two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme choice and whether you have closed the cookie notice. Google Analytics and advertising partners may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the download tools keep working without them.
5. Your downloads
SnapTik does not host TikTok content. When you request a file, we fetch it from TikTok's public servers and pass it to your browser. We do not keep copies of downloaded videos, pictures or sounds. Request results may be cached for a short time so that repeated requests are fast; these entries are not linked to you.
6. How we use information
- to provide and improve the download tools;
- to protect the service against abuse, attacks and automated misuse;
- to measure usage and fix problems;
- to show advertising that keeps SnapTik free;
- to answer your messages.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Data is processed by the service providers we rely on – our hosting provider, Cloudflare for DNS and network services, Google for analytics and our advertising partners – and may be disclosed when the law requires it.
8. Third-party links and ads
Ads and links can take you to websites we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply there, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Manage personalised ads in your Google ad settings.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, and to object to certain processing. Because SnapTik has no user accounts, we usually hold very little that can be linked to you. To make a request, email us at the address below.
11. Children
SnapTik is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security and international processing
All connections to snaptik.cat are encrypted with HTTPS and access to logs is restricted. Our servers and service providers may process data in countries other than your own.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
