Who we are
Snaptik, at snaptik.cat, is made by a small independent team of people who build and maintain web tools. We are not part of TikTok or ByteDance, and we have no connection to other downloader websites that use a similar name.
The idea behind the site is simple: saving a public TikTok should take a link and a tap, without an app, an account or a page full of fake buttons.
What Snaptik does
Snaptik saves public TikTok content as ordinary files on your phone or computer:
- videos as MP4, in HD when TikTok keeps an HD copy, without the TikTok watermark;
- the sound of a video, or a whole sound page, as MP3;
- photo posts and slideshows as full-size pictures, or a slideshow as one MP4 with its music;
- profile pictures, current stories and highlight albums of public accounts.
Everything runs in the browser, on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Chromebook.
How it works
When you paste a link, our servers request that public post from TikTok and relay the files straight to your device. We do not keep a library of the videos people save, and you never sign in or share your TikTok password with us. Private, friends-only and deleted posts cannot be reached at all.
The details of what is logged, for how long, and which cookies are used are in our privacy policy.
How Snaptik is paid for
Snaptik is free because of advertising. Tapping a download button also opens an advertiser's page in a new tab; you can close it and come back, and your file is not affected. A short note next to the link box on every tool page says this before you start.
Creators' rights
Every video belongs to the person who made it. Snaptik is meant for personal, offline viewing of public content, and our terms of use explain the rules. Creators who do not want their posts to be downloadable here can send the links through the contact form; confirmed content is blocked within 72 hours.
