How TikTok stories work
TikTok stories are short videos and photos that stay on a profile for only 24 hours. They are a good way to follow behind-the-scenes moments, quick updates and limited announcements – and they are easy to miss. With SnapTik you can view the public stories of an account and keep a copy before they expire.
What can be downloaded
- Public stories from the last 24 hours.
- Video stories as MP4 and photo stories as images.
- Stories that the creator has saved permanently are usually found in their highlights.
When no stories are found
If the result is empty, the account has not posted a story in the last day, the account is private, or the stories have already expired. Check the username for typos and try again later.

How long are TikTok stories available?
Stories are visible for 24 hours after they are posted. After that they can only be seen again if the creator saves them to highlights.
Does the account owner see that I watched their story?
No. SnapTik loads the stories through our server, so your account does not appear in the viewer list.
Can I download stories from private accounts?
No. Only public stories can be viewed and downloaded.
Why does SnapTik say there are no stories?
The account has no active story, is private, or the username is misspelled. Try again later or check the name.
In which format are stories saved?
Video stories are saved as MP4 and photo stories as image files, both without watermark.
